Gtechniq I1 Smart Fabric AB provides long-lasting protection for fabric surfaces, repelling water, oil and everyday stains while maintaining the material's original appearance, texture and breathability.
Its advanced nano-technology coats individual fibres, creating an invisible barrier that prevents liquids from soaking in while allowing moisture and stale air to escape. Enhanced anti-mould and antimicrobial technology helps eliminate up to 99% of bacteria on treated surfaces, making it ideal for vehicle interiors and family cars.
Even more hydrophobic than previous versions, I1 causes water and spills to bead and roll off the surface with ease. Laboratory testing confirms exceptional water repellency and durability, retaining excellent performance even after multiple washes.
Suitable for both interior and exterior fabrics, I1 Smart Fabric typically lasts between 6 and 12 months on vehicle interiors, depending on use.

Application Instructions
Preparation
- For interior fabrics, clean the surface with Gtechniq I2 Tri-Clean.
- For exterior fabrics, clean using Gtechniq W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner neat for heavily soiled areas or diluted 5:1 for lighter contamination.
- Allow the fabric to dry thoroughly before application. For best results, leave to dry for up to 48 hours. The fabric must be significantly drier than touch-dry for optimal performance.
Application
- Shake well before use and wear suitable gloves.
- Apply in a well-ventilated area at temperatures above 5°C.
- Avoid direct sunlight during application.
- Spray evenly from approximately 15cm away, ensuring complete and even coverage.
- Apply thoroughly, as additional coats cannot be applied once the first coat has cured.
- Wipe away any overspray or excess product immediately using a clean microfibre cloth.
Curing
- Allow the treated surface to dry for 24 hours.
- Full protection is achieved once the product has completely cured.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place.
- Use within 12 months of opening.
