Their journey began in 2005/2006 when they met through a car club and discovered their shared passion for cars and keeping them clean. They started detailing cars as a side gig and turned professional in 2008, working tirelessly while maintaining their primary careers. Eventually, they decided to step away from detailing due to the demands of their jobs and personal lives.

In 2018, they contemplated returning to detailing but instead decided to create world-class detailing products under the Garage Therapy brand. They emphasised a long-term vision and strong ethical principles, collaborating with partners in the raw materials and supplier space. Their extensive experience and connections with major companies provided valuable insights for product development.
